Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
Calmly think of this This is a plea for God to help in time of trouble. See also Ps. 39:12, 84:8 and 130:2. When we are in great need we ask for the Lord's undivided attention. We seem to ask the Lord to pay attention to our praying. (Ps 130:2) The writer of Psalms would begin and end the day in prayer. What a great challenge for us to do as well.
We are to place our hope in the Lord knowing He will answer in a way that will be for our best
